A group of students from Sarah Bonnell have piloted a financial literacy programme at Zurich Insurance.
The programme aims to help develop financial literacy amongst Year 10 students to highlight the opportunities available through a career in insurance.
The students had the opportunity to work on a series of interactive workshops aligned to the National Curriculum. The pilot workshops took place in April and May, helping to introduce the concept of money management and insurance as well as helping to raise student aspirations and consider insurance as a viable future career option. Students also had the opportunity to develop their skills in teamwork, leadership, negotiation, problem solving and presenting.
“It was an amazing and adventurous experience. I got an insight of the different departments such as Finance, Human Resources and Marketing” - Dhruvi Solanki
“We’re very grateful to Zurich for giving us the opportunity to get involved in the programme. Our students have learned some great money management tips and have had the chance to see first-hand the opportunities available if they choose an insurance career.” - Ms Bhudia
