Staff and Students Ski The Slopes of Switzerland
Categories: General News
On 20th March 32 students and 5 members of staff from Sarah Bonnell travelled to the beautiful country of Switzerland. The hotel that we stayed in was situated in a place called ‘Interlaken’ and it was fantastic. Some of the rooms had balconies from which there was a mesmerising view of a crystal clear lake and snowy mountains.
On the first day of skiing we were all on the Nursery slopes for beginners. There we practised our turns and ‘snow-ploughing’. Over the next couple of days, the students who had made an improvement were able to go on the other slopes. There was the blue slope, red slope and black slope with black being the hardest. In the evenings we went bowling, ice-skating and were able to shop in the local town. The holiday was fantastic and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. There was laughter, and sometimes strops, but this holiday I’m sure is one we will never forget.
