Celebrating Black History Month

Special assemblies took place during the week beginning 12 October for all Year groups.
The History Learning Area held special lessons for Years 8 and 9 which included interactive activities ranging from Human Timelines to class quizzes. A creative and thought provoking display was put up outside the History Learning Area, and an educational presentation was shown to all students demonstrating the importance of Black History Month. The presentation can be viewed below, as well as a short film about the SS Empire Windrush Ship which docked in Britain 22nd June 1948.
