Young Enterprise goes to Portugal

On the weekend of the 19th -21st of March 2010 5 representatives from the Young Enterprise Club, SB INNOV8TIONS had the unique opportunity to go to Lisbon in Portugal, to participate in the annual European Trade Fair.
This was the first time the Young Enterprise Club at Sarah Bonnell which is made up of 25 students from year 10, was given such an opportunity. SB INNOV8TIONS create a variety of crafts from Salt Dough.
At the Trade Fair the Students had to compete not only with students from a variety of Schools and Colleges but also with students from Countries across Europe, such as Spain, France, Lithuania, Greece, Portugal, Germany and many others,
It was a great opportunity for them to learn new skills such as languages and about the currency.
The 5 Students who went were Silvija Zilinskaite 10A, Mothia Yasmin 10A, Monira Islam 10A, Fahima Sharif 10R and Sahima Patel 10A.
Inner City Young Entrepreneurs Regional Finals
On Wednesday 17th March 2010 a group of 5 Students from the Young Enterprise Club went to Deutsche Bank, Liverpool Street, to compete against other Young Enterprise Companies from across London in The Young Entrepreneurs Regional Final.
The students were required to present their product to a panel of judges in the style of the popular TV programme ‘Dragons Den’ and then answer a series of questions from the panel of judges. They also had to create a 20 second audio or visual advertisement. In the 2 years I have been running the Enterprise Club with Students from Sarah Bonnell, I found that this year the standard of entries were exceptionally high. It was a great achievement for SB INNOV8TIONS to reach this stage in the competition and be able to compete against other companies on such a high level.
The 5 students who took part were; Tinuke Adegboye 10A, Philippa Richards 10A, Latasha Webb 10A, Nazrana Patel 10A and Hafsa Abdi 10H.
On Monday 29th March another 5 Students from SB INNOV8TIONs will be going to UEL to take part in the Newham, Barking and Dagenham Company Programme Final. Watch this space to find out how they got on.
