Careers

At Sarah Bonnell careers education is not an enhancement it is an entitlement of every girl, and students at Sarah Bonnell experience a broad and balanced careers programme both inside and outside of the curriculum. Our goal is for every student to have participated in 100 hours of careers related learning designed to support their future choices and employability opportunities.

Our careers education programme is soon to be re-launched under the new branding of Futures @ SB and offers girls at Sarah Bonnell the chance to discover the world of work in modern Britain through a diverse range of guest speakers, career workshops, projects and challenge days as well as careers insight visits and work placements.

We work in partnership with London Borough of Newham and 15 billion-ebp to ensure that every girl at Sarah Bonnell has access to impartial careers information, advice and guidance. Please view the careers advisor tab to find out about careers advisor 1 to 1 appointments and the drop in service available to students in each year group.

Our partnership with ELBA (East London Business Alliance) ensures that through our Business Action Group we have access to a support network of multinational organisations such as KPMG, Citi Bank and Pinsent Masons. More details of this, including some highlights from our BAG action plan can be found on the tab on the right.

Sarah Bonnell was delighted when we were invited to become one of the first schools in London to be part of the Enterprise Advisor network in partnership with the Careers and Enterprise Company and Team London. For more details about the work we are doing with this exciting initiative, including details about the visit to the school from the Minister of State for Apprenticeships and Skills, Robert Halfon, MP, please view the Enterprise Advisor Network tab.

If you would like more details about the Futures @ SB programme or are a business or employer that would like to support the work we are doing with careers education please contact the school directly.
