    Samiya (Year 11 2013/14)

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

Samiya is a high achieving student and has delivered an
outstanding service to the school as Head Girl

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

"It's really hard to compact my experiences as Head Girl into a tiny space so I'll just share a few highlights of my time. To me, being the Head Girl of Sarah Bonnell, was more than a badge. It was about understanding the values and ethos of the role and encapsulating the schools motto into every action and move I made. Being the Head Girl gave me an opportunity to highlight the skills I had and further develop them with the help of my peers and teachers.

I realised that what did make me different was my strive to deliver my cohort the best guidance and support that would motivate them and empower them. This was something that I had learnt from the excellent teaching and values demonstrated by my teachers.  I wanted students  to realise that anything is possible, even for a girl who had moved from Pakistan to London only a year ago. I became Head Girl not for me, but for everyone who wanted to make a difference!"
