The Enrichment Learning Area is responsible for the delivery of a number of areas of work across the whole school, including:

• Learning Mentor Provision
• Work Related Learning
• Work Experience
• Enterprise Education
• Careers Education & Guidance
• Links with Newham Education Business Partnership
• The School Youth Project
• Study Club
• The Learning Support Unit's Social Development Programme.

The School Learning Mentors play a large role in developing activities to engage students both in and outside of the classroom that enrich the learning experience.

Activities include the Creativity Club run by Ms Bauer which helps students to develop positive social relationships in a creative and relaxed setting.

In addition, Year 8 Students have been involved in the creation and maintenance of the Enrichment Provision garden Ms Evans.

Ms Evans is responsible for running a number of programmes at Key Stage 4 in particular the Study Mentor team, a specially trained group of year 11 students who focus upon assisting their form class with study skills and who also support and assist with the smooth running of the School Study Club. Ms Evan is also the Deputy Learning Area Manager of Enrichment.

Ms Evans also trains and monitors the Student Conflict Mediators who are trained to work with younger students to find mutually acceptable solutions to conflicts between students.

The Learning area staff work closely with the School's attendance and welfare officer, and the Access & Inclusion Team.

The Enrichment Provision Learning area also have links with a range of external agencies which include:

• Conflict & Change
• SHINE
  Other support is available to students under the
  DfES Learning Mentor Outcomes, Every Child,
  Matters Outcomes and Personalised Learning.
