Homework

Although some homework may require the use of a computer and possible internet access, this can be done through the use of after school and lunchtime study clubs. Access is also available through local library facilities.

All homework is assessed and given a Key Stage 3 level and a target level to aim for in future work. If work is exceptional then a commendation is awarded and recorded in the student's planner.

In Key Stage 4 (years 10 &11) homework is usually set twice a week.

Homework can take different forms such as finishing off certain aspects of coursework or carrying out research. All homework set contributes overall to the unit of coursework they are completing. All homework is assessed and given a grade of Pass (C), Merit (B) or Distinction (A) and a target level to aim for in future work. If work is exceptional then a commendation is awarded and recorded in the students planner.
